I'm not surprised at all at Billy regretting taking too many ministry opportunities, being pushed by the crowd draw. I think that is the classic evangelists "problem" - one more outreach, x more souls that must be reached.

Yes, evangelism brings with it significant time away from family, but it is wise to consider family time, that they should not need to suffer so much.
He should have been allowed/given more time with family, however that planning dynamic worked.
