I hope he is sincere but time will tell
He believes there will be pot in heaven

Celebrities really should wait a while before bringing their "conversion" before a national or international audience. They need to be discipled for a few years first or they will be embarrassed. The fact that Snoop believes there is marijuana in heaven is a failure on the part of those who may have led him to Christ to properly disciple him.
It has always been my frustration with how fast the Christian TV networks would put a celebrity on the network as soon as he or she declares Christ as Savior. Being a celebrity does not make one a preacher. Sadly, this rush to bring newly converted celebrity Christians into the limelight has continually backfired. Many of them backslide and do and say things in public that is diametrically opposed to Christianity.
That being said, Creflo Dollar is correct about a few things. "Christians" can be way too judgmental sometimes. While it may be right to be careful about celebrities claim to be born again, we need to remember that we all have a past and have no right to belittle someone else about theirs. Also, while I won't be rushing to Amazon.com to by Snoop Dog's gospel album, I think the man should be shown a lot more love and grace. Perhaps with more discipleship he will be one of God's greatest assets.

Yep, always a misinterpretation of Scripture since we are also told that we shall know them by their fruits. Certainly no one, celebrity or otherwise, should be judged by past behavior when they become a new creation in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17) but I wish men and women of God would be careful not to make the celebrity a trophy for the world to see. Disciple them first and when they have matured in the things of God then make a television appearance and let them tell what Jesus has done for them.

Interesting...I hadn't heard about this before. God bless him:
...In an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel" Monday night, the rapper was asked if the album was his idea and he said it was pointing out that he decided to make the album to counter negativity in the world.
"Yeah. Well you know my whole life I was raised up in the church. I was brought up in the church. The world that we're living in right now with all this negativity and this violence, I just wanted to make something that represents peace, love and happiness and use my platform," he said.
Reacting to his Christian critics just over a week ago at the 33rd Stellar Gospel Music Awards, Snoop Dogg called them hypocrites.
"The devil is a liar. I thought church was supposed to welcome sinners," he told TV One. "If you find someone trying to find their way back home, the natural thing would be to accept him with open arms. We not gonna throw stones while you trying to get right and walking back into the church house"...
The brother of the prodigal was also jealous. All heaven rejoices when one sinner repents, maybe we should too!

It is fantastic when a celebrity confesses to believing in Jesus but jealousy isn't the issue
There have been many celebrities that have made public commitments and then their actions end up giving Christianity a black eye.
A few years ago Jane Fonda professed faith and now she is against the gospel with her left wing ideas
There is nothing wrong with wanting to see some 'fruit' as Jesus said we will be judged by our fruits
