You're in the center of God's will. Best place to be other than Glory! You will be blessed there and be a blessing, I'm absolutely positive.

In our congregation is a friend from our school bus route days. It’s just amazing either of us are saved. The other day we got on the subject of revivals and he wanted me to give some names. By time I got to the healing tent meeting revivals he said he has a large collection of William Branham meetings that were converted to cassette and somehow made the way to his possession some 30+ years ago. He loves to listen to them now and then because he feels the presence of God and like he is right there in those meetings. You just never know where the closet pentecostals are. Most of our folks have only ever gone to this country church. They havent been taught or been allowed to move in the gifts. This Sunday I begin to unfold the full gospel to them. This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday.

Today is Pentecost Sunday. I very well could be the first pastor to have preached in that church about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. There have been some very encouraging responses. This church has been untaught on such things. Next week we will open a study on 1 Cor 12-14. Just might take most of the summer.

In another thread I suggested a forum reunion. This looks like the perfect place for us to meet and have a revival/reunion. We’d shock the religion right out of them!

What do you think "and fire" means ? Torben Søndergaard claims that it refers to judgment but it could refer to a refining fire.

Mat 3:10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

The context on both sides is judgment.

Mark 9:47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire—
48 where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’
49 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
50 Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.”

Same here but this time he seems to be referring to a refining fire in verse 49.

The definition is found in the profound change that occured in the disciples lives, most noteably, Peter. Quite simply, he was what we used to say about one as being “on fire for God”. The great revivalists said, “get yourself on fire and they will come to watch you burn”. For one that has received the “and fire” their lives are profoundly changed.
