I promised straight up I didnt come here to make it Pentecostal but quickly added that God might have different plans and whatever that is, I’m cool with that. There has been a church on this property since 1890. We have a strong grace DNA. I like that.
I’m seeing that everywhere now. Drives me nuts. Services are literally timed down to a second. Some places have a count down for everything from the welcome, scripture reading, song, it’s all perfectly scripted to where if the Holy Spirit wanted to take the service on a detour, they would probably have a nervous breakdown.
But they see the success in numbers and popularity with the postmodern church and they’re determined that this is what will bring the crowds.

Last Sunday I spoke on being a Word and Power church. This has been a personal vision and has been a delight to see lives changed over the years. This is a short synopsis of the direction:
-If we are all Word and no Power, we dry up.
If we are all Power and no Word we blow up.
If we are both, we grow up.
Currently touching on the personage of the Holy Spirit; a He, not an “it”. Do not grieve Him, quench Him or resist Him.
Carefully moving ahead in much prayer.

THAT, IMHO, is exactly what God revealed through Azusa street outpouring and then the Charismatic WOF movement...we must have both because either/or is disastrous...and the reason we have seen such an apostasy is because some still insist on one or the other....

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
The Word introduces the Holy Spirit.
Preach it bro!
