Just out of curiosity, did you ever see Franklin Hall?
I was a young boy when I heard Bosworth. We lived in Sedalia, MO at the time where my father pastoredl I always went everywhere with my Father and he loved to go to the revival meetings. Branham held a meeting at a large Convention Center and Bosworth was the Morning teacher. I went with my Dad to all those meetings which 3-4 days. As I recall, he was a white haired man and very reserved. We were privileged to hear him. He nearly filled the Center which was unusual for a morning service.

I don't remeber Hall. He may have been there.

Later when Branham came to Des Moines, I went and heard him but Ern Baxter was the morning teacher.

I used to use his 'Christ the Healer' for the textbook in my Diving Healing class. One of the top 5 books ever on divine healing. Hagin used that book for one if his classes when I was at Rhema, and he read chapters 2 through 4 word for word and commented on them. He said he couldn't improve on what Bosworth said so he was just going to read them out loud word for word.

Here is a pdf copy for anyone who has never read it.

Actually, back in the day I used to hear him on the radio some and he was pretty good.
This was the early 80's and my impression was that he was only talking to the "cool kids". Not the broken or the out of place. Not the ones who needed direction. He was working the crowd. Back then, my impression was scoffed at, but now, I feel vindicated.

I'm familiar with his book but didn't know much about Bosworth per se...some facts I found interesting:

...was raised in a Methodist home. His Methodist experiences also included salvation at the age of 16 or 17, and a spontaneous healing from major lung problems a couple years later.

...He was one of the founders of the Assemblies of God in 1914 and was with them until 1918 when he had a disagreement on the initial evidence of the baptism with the Holy Spirit and withdrew.

...A year or so after they were married, after seeing copies of Dowie's newsletter, Bowsorth and his wife moved to Zion, Illinois (then called Zion City), a theocratic, utopian town where modern medicine was banned and only faith healing was allowed.

...After embracing Pentecostalism, Bosworth went through a number of trials that helped form his character.[9] Bosworth, Lake, and other fleeing Parhamites had had all their savings embezzled by Dowie's bank

...Bosworth writes that he went to the Lord and asked "'suppose I preach on Healing and the people come and don't get healed?' The Lord said 'If people didn't get saved, you wouldn't stop preaching the gospel.'" Bosworth studied the question, prayed about it and saw that it was God's will to heal as well as save people.

... it was not until several months later, in 1958, when he eventually died, again with an outstanding testimony. According to his son's description in the 9th edition of "Christ the Healer", the family was gathered around Bosworth's bedside talking, laughing, and singing about three weeks after Bosworth was in bed full-time, Bosworth then looked up, never saw the family members present, and began "to greet and hug people - he was enraptured ... He did this for several hours", then with a smile on his face he laid back and went to sleep.
