She may not like change, may be pigheaded, may be divisive.

The pastor may be forcing change, his change, not necessarily God's, upon many in the congregation. He may be pigheaded, and may be divisive. It isn't uncommon for a pastor to come to a place to "get things done" and takes little into account who the people are in the congregation, their relationships, their personalities, and how God may have knit them together.

Paid pastors tend to come and go with the tides. Some members are their for life,whether for the good or bad.

"Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."

Soooo, who will lay down their "rights" for their brothers or sisters for a time, let alone their life? Who will set the example? Who should set the example?

She's NOT CHARISMATIC. She's protesting the pastor making the church Charismatic/Pentecostal.

I don't think compromise was what Jesus was talking about so it may not be as simple as that...this lady could very well be fighting against what God is doing...one thing is obvious...she does not want CHANGE and change has already come...

Funny you assumed that..it has been my experience that Charismatics just leave :)

It has been my experience that many charismatics cause trouble before they leave. They have caused me a lot of trouble in churches I have pastored. Then when all is in disarray, they leave with a others causing the church harm and injury. This lady is like that. She may be getting coached from someone else. She thinks that her age gives her special privileges. She needs to apologize for the trouble she has caused and leave as quietly as possible.
