    Notice this feud with the pastor has been 6 years long..."Genora Hamm Biggs said she and the current pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church, Rev. Tim Mattox, have disagreed over his preaching style, which Biggs characterizes as a "Holiness style” since he was hired 6 years ago."

    Seems they have been pretty patient with her..

    Hey, where are all of the "poor old Grandma" posters? Where are all of them folks that should be here defending this poor sweet grandma who is being picked on by this mean ogre of a pastor.

    Now you know a 103 year old lady can never be out of order. You stop picking on Grandma Lorrie.

    Just thought this was interesting.

    "The devout Christian was a former city clerk and a school teacher who taught first grade for 40 years. Reverend Mattox was one of her former students..."

    UPDATE:

    http://www.11alive.com/story/life/fa...-out/72786254/

    Biggs told 11Alive that she is sticking to her guns -- fighting back -- determined to remain a member of the church where she has been a member since she was 11 years old, and determined to keep it Baptist.

    "Doesn't make me happy,” she said. “Very, very unhappy."

    She said that on Sunday, September 20, about 50 members who no longer attend every week -- either because of their own disputes with Mattox or because they've moved away -- returned and voted to remove Mattox, and appoint a 90-day interim pastor. Ms. Biggs' grandson, Elliot Dye, told 11Alive News that they all believed their vote on Sunday would override the eleven members who signed the letter that Mattox had them send to Ms. Biggs.

    But Dye and Biggs say Mattox has now gone to court to dispute that vote.

    It’s a mess that she never dreamed she would ever face.

    And yet the support she's been receiving from around the country has given her hope.

    "I have been getting calls - every day, yeah," she said. "It makes me feel good."

    Let's face it. She is a troublemaker. God is against trouble makers. She needs to go to church and to the altar and REPENT! She wants it her way and is willing to close the church for her selfish ways.

    3. No Flaming

    You will not "flame" other members or groups of members. Flaming includes, but is not limited to:
    - Ridiculing, insulting, or demeaning another member or group of members; (Groups of members include members of denominations other than the one you subscribe to.)
    - Ridiculing another member's beliefs;
    - Stating or implying that another member or group of members who have identified themselves as Christian are not Christian;
    - Asking loaded questions that directly cause flames in response;
    - Using sarcasm to attempt any of the above; and
    - Threats of any sort.

    Special Note: While we welcome debate on a variety of subjects, however condemnation of any Christian group or denomination will not be tolerated. Posts by anyone attempting to condemn others for their affiliation with a particular group (be it Charismatic, Word-Faith, Pentecostal, Baptist, Methodist, etc.) rather than to simply discuss in a loving Christian manner differences in beliefs will be examined and appropriate action will be taken. We will deal with heresy hunters swiftly here.
