    Fuego,

From what I gather you are primarily a teacher?

Well, every time I visit this thread, I get this unction to want tell you that when the unction and anointing to PREACH comes on you, to go for it!

I'm pretty sure you probably would anyways, but maybe not.

Just don't be surprised if that comes upon you. Go for it!

Take this for what you think it's worth.

I believe that it will come to pass.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

I've been curious, is that what happened? Did someone overhear you ministering to someone?

I have a friend that goes there (that I had gotten baptized in the Holy Spirit in the parking lot of Chili's when I lived in Charlotte), and they had been teaching on the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. He went up to the associate who is the son of the pastor and basically said I knew a lot about that and that we should hook up. Well, he actually called me, and we met. Talked the Word for an hour to an hour and a half, talked to me about teaching at the school basically. This guy hadn't known me 30 minutes and was already talking to me about teaching at the ministry school (they have about 90 students. Then a few days later he calls me out of the blue and asks me to preach on Sunday since they had gotten to the tongues and interpretation teaching in what they were doing. That's it. Then he called me back unexpectedly again and said they wanted me to continue it and recap last Sunday and go further into it. Also talked to me more about teaching that the school and then something coming up at the beginning of the year they want me to be involved in teaching.

This is what is so crazy. How many pastors do you know that would do that? He doesn't know me from Adam's housecat, has one hour meeting with me and now is just wanting me to be totally involved with teaching at the church and school. I mean it's like somebody flipped a switch in the spirit on my ministry after not doing anything for the last 3 1/2 years since moving to Atlanta to take care of my parents.

What could be at the root of it though, and a supernatural 'speed' about the whole thing is about 2 months ago I started eating just one meal a day. After a couple of weeks of putting the flesh under like that, an inspiration to pray more in tongues kicked in. So I started praying in tongues anywhere from about 1-3 hours a day, about an hour of confession, and some worship and praise. Then after about a month, I started just water fasting the first three days of the week. Then a couple of weeks ago he called. The Spirit makes intercession accord to the mind of God. So maybe it's attributable to that. Or maybe not.

I'm certain that the act of consecration was involved.

So I preached again today and reviewed last week and went further into tongues. Today only one came up to be filled (I guess we got them all last week), and since it was only one I had a friend of mine minister to her while I had an altar call for people that just wanted to be refreshed, etc. But a background story on the one woman that came up to get filled.

Her son was filled last week. So she comes from Michigan to visit him, finds out about it, wasn't really planning on coming to church with him, but decided yesterday she was going to come and then leaving back for Michigan tomorrow. Nobody in the church knew I was coming back again this week to speak.

I had brought a book on tongues that I wanted to give away (written by a former student of mine entitled "Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking in Tongues", and I had talked to this guy again before the service, and decided I was going to give it to him. So I was talking about the book when I got up to preach, and had him to come up and gave it to him, but had him testify about last week. Basically he said he'd never been filled before and spoke in tongues and had never felt anything like that. His mother was sitting with him but I didn't know it was his mother.

But anyway, she got filled. My friend and her were sitting in the lobby at a table after church and she was really happy. Come to find out, after she was filled, she told my friend, "You don't know what a big deal this is. My husband is a Weslyan pastor and I have a lot of influence over him." So I guess it's going to be interesting when she gets back home. lol.

I said that to say this, this was a divine setup for her. She had been saved she said 41 years I think, and said she had been desiring to be filled I believe. I can't tell you how many times when I taught Bible college that when I was teaching on this particular subject, God would bring people to that class to get people filled that had never been filled. I have some outstanding testimonies of that. This one just one more. I wouldn't be surprised if I came back today just for her. I wasn't supposed to be speaking today, but they called me back last week. And she shows up that day.

One more thing, while I'm sitting in my chair after the service while the worship team is still playing and ministry is starting to come to an end, a young woman, 23, came up and sat down beside me and said, "I've never spoken in tongues." To put it in a nutshell, I ministered to her and she was filled and spoke in tongues.
