They are both christians - God has protected christians from the most horrific scenarios but for some reason does not intervene in this one ????

Cardinal, gullible implies a judgement....I am opting on waiting for the facts...that's wisdom, not gullible.

Since you and I are not involved with the situation I would say it is wisdom and facts to at least assume the police have some credibility and evidence to charge him with murder

With due respect you only have an opinion with no evidence and no facts.

You can google and find all sorts of sleep walker scenarios but at the end of the day they are not facts

It is wisdom to give police the benefit of the doubt (they may be wrong) but it is better than your scenario which is speculation

I like to watch true crime mystery shows. Last week I saw three in which ministers killed their wives. All were connected to infidelities. I don't have an opinion on the op other than it sounds really odd.

It's also easy to assume that one's peers are innocent and those one is at odds with are guilty. Cardinal TT's main point is that this has nothing to do with justice.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

I think that a lack of adherance to that principle may have been one of the most distinguishing characteristics of a large number of posters here at one point, as I remember it. Say from 2005 when I started posting and for several years after that.

....he stated I was gullible because I positioned that all the 'facts' are not in on a situation; that it is possible the guy WAS sleepwalking as he claimed....

The police know he killed her....they have no option but to charge him with the maximum...yet there was no stated motive and the article states the likely path of the defense....there are different degrees of murder....

So why would I assume the police have an open and shut case based on a charge? Innocent, in this case, of 1st degree murder, until PROVEN guilty?

I agree with Quest and Val especially after reading the links Quest posted back on the first page...and it does kind of sound like he was abusing the cough medicine because of sleep issues. Is it possible it was premeditated, sure, but there just aren't enough facts in yet.

I was just reading an article about some Instagram posts he made which could go either way. Was he planning them as a defense to killing his wife or was there a long standing history of him having sleep issues which include a history of sleepwalking...dunno.
