Well, that pans out. I said '79. If you subtract 18 years of age from '96 when he graduated, that's '78. So maybe he had been born the year before. But it was '78' '79, or '80 he was born.

Not sure what you're asking I'm sure about. I said they were older when they had him. It was kind of a shock to everybody and myself. I was thinking Fred might have been 50, but it looks like at least late 40s.

I just checked to see how old they were because I was curious since my mother had a surprise baby when she was 50. Then I thought that he may have graduated early at 16 or 17, then he could have been born in late 79 or in 80.

This situation is one that should be covered in love and grace, that being said, restoration doesn't mean returning to former position but it isn't for us to determine that.
When thinking about this issue we need also to be honest with ourselves as to how we look at it and treat Price jr, are we more empathic because he's apart of our tribe or do we disfain because of hurt or tribal rivalry. At the end of the day God must be honoured and glorified and the church must be edified.
Btw. Just asking an opinion, not wanting to beaten up, but do you (anyone) think that there should be a gentle chastising from the elders of him before the congregation in accordance with scripture about rebuking the sinning elder?

You should know by now that if you don't want to get "beat up" then you shouldn't post. Just sayin' "don't beat me up" is not an immunization from a the butt whuppin' you are about to get

I will apply what I have said about FP Jr. to anyone within and outside of my "camp" and have done so on more than one occasion. But if there are those within my "camp" or outside my "camp" who have sinned, and the sin was clearly stated, and they have failed to humble themselves but have shown utter arrogance, then I am in full favor of rebuking and treating like a heathen and publican as the Scriptures command.

However, any Christian, regardless of their "camp," should not be judged by those who don't even know what sin they committed in the first place. We don't even know what he meant by "misjudgments" and until we do we should refrain from guessing since that is mere gossip and displeasing to God.

Which goes to your other point: until we know what "sin" he committed (if we ever do) then we can't say whether or not he needs to be publicly rebuked.

I don't know what you mean when you talk about tribal rivalry. Could you please explain? Thanks.

A lot of gossip swirling around on the west coast. I pray none of it is true as the last thing the church needs is more Scandal. Bishop Price is well into his 80s now. That's a lot of pressure to be under at his age. But so far, they've done the honorable thing. Sitting your own son down has to be difficult. I can respect that and the son addressing it openly before the church.
I've visited the church a few times but it's been years. I'm told the attendance declined dramatically after the son took it. A lot of people that moved to Los Angeles to sit under his ministry years ago have moved back to their home states to retire. It will be interesting how the church comes through this long term

Unfortunately, there are those that enjoy it when well-known ministers fall. Especially those who fall in the WOF/Charismatic camp. So I am not surprised by the gossip and innuendo. I consider the source, and recognize it as confirmation as to why there's no good fruit in their lives.

It's no wonder those people have very little victory in their own lives and probably never will. They live to criticize and judge, and when this sort of thing happens, they come alive with salacious glee because they ignorantly believe they have just cause for their criticisms. They don't even realize they are worse off than the one who fell. SMH
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

I thought I heard on the clip Krys posted that he (Price Sr.) has been ill...something about his creatinine levels (kidney function)? This situation is not helping, I would imagine.
