Check out 6:12 and on.

"I lay awake for three nights overwhelmed with joy.
I thought 'Lord, what have I received ? Why am I so filled with joy ? I have no money, I have no family, I have nothing.'
And you know, I was absolutely sure that this joy came from heaven"

Is that mindset even possible to a Western Christian who is exceedingly rich by her standards ? Yes.

James 1:9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,
10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

His riches may function as a blessing to him and especially to others whom he may bless but they are incomparable to the eternal riches that do not fade away. The communion of the Holy Spirit is part of those eternal riches. In that presence the Western Christian may become truly rich, as he understands that he is experiencing the true riches that make his Earthly riches fade into nothing by comparison.
