Personally, I believe that any form of dress or makeup, whether worn by a man or a woman, that enhances one's physical appeal to the opposite sex is not appropriate for church.

As for casual attire, I have no problem with it, as Jesus and the disciples wore casual clothes and John The Baptist wore clothes made of camel's hair.

As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind?If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces. Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.

Makeup can be very different from culture to culture and also perceptions of clothing. Even within the Western world. To my eyes, a lot of American women wear excessive amounts of makeup, including when they are trying to look formal. But I wouldn't judge them based solely on that.

Yes, agreed, I'm not proposing to judge anyone based on their dress or makeup.
