I would agree that ministry isn't JUST in the pulpit, but the rest of it...well..

Obviously I don't agree about the tithe, but this is about ordination, not membership (I don't really believe in membership per se). Maybe not everything exactly, but in general I could see having some requirements like this.

I heard about a church where if you wanted to be part of their street ministry team then you had to clean toilets for two years first. So I suppose their team consisted of :

    1) People who enjoy cleaning toilets
    2) People who are desperate to be part of the team for whatever reason

People's anointing or calling could well have little to do with it. But I agree that character and a willingness to serve should be criteria.

If the denomination has those rules you have to abide by them if you want to be licensed whether you agree in your heart

No..I actually don't believe ordination is scriptural..God calls people to do a job in His Kingdom...IMHO the rest is man made.

If I don't agree with the rules does that automatically disqualify me from ANY AND ALL leadership positions? I would think so, because who wants an Absalom in the midst possibly undermining senior leadership?

Numbers One and Two are the only real important ones. A minister who does not tithe is not worth much. IMHO
