Not sure why you are concerned over the matter . There is plenty of money in Nigeria. But more importantly don't believe everything you read on the internet . These numbers are pretty much pulled out of thin air .

I know that some of them are extremely wealthy and that several of them sport private jets. There may be wealthy people in their congregations contributing but I still find it excessive. That is my personal opinion of course, since I don't know the details of how the wealth was accumulated.

Well to your credit you characterize it as personal opinion . Why you deem it your business to know how the wealth was accumulated is what I find odd !!
All i will say is that of the two Nigerian ministers mentioned neither draws a salary or an income from their churches or parisioners.
Adeboye at one point didn't even maintain a bank account and does not own private Jet contrary to media reports (The Ministry Owns the Jet Not Him) and lives very modestly.
Oyedepo certainly is a little bit more flamboyant but is also a business man. I know people who personally consult with some of his business holdings. Which are ENTIRELY and WHOLLY separate from the church or the now 6 universities he has founded .
Now if you are indeed interested in details of any sort that's the kind of thing you should focus on . How he by FAITH built 6 quality Christian Universities without taking a loan from a Bank or soliciting funds from America or elsewhere.
That to me is the real story

I'm entitled to a personal opinion even if you don't like that personal opinion.

Why does God prosper people? Is the goal of His prosperity that we build mansions here on earth and live a life of luxury? Show me that in the NT. God prospers us so that we can give. So that we can become a channel of blessing to the church locally and at large. Sometimes I think we do need a return to the book of Acts wherein everyone voluntarily surrendered their riches so that others could benefit. If the church took care of her own, we could practically end the welfare system in this country.

There is no command to keep ones legitimately acquired riches below a certain level by giving them away so one cannot simply judge people for what they do with what is theirs. That doesnt mean that there is no cause for worry or designating question marks.

Many of these guys have put serving their organization before serving the Lord which is idolatry and Jesus said all idolators will burn in the lake ' fire.
