Does your church have a dress code?
How about when you were a kid, were there dress codes back then....or have you ever been to any church that had one?
FO posted this on our facebook group page and it developed into a big discussion:

No, thankfully there is no dress code. Granted, as a regular member, we expect no-one to dress provocatively. Should a visitor come in dressed provocatively they would be welcomed, and made to feel comfortable....if they chose to stay, I imagine they would begin to conform as well.

I find that list pretty severe.
Our church has no real dress code... we've been attending this church for 25 years and have seen it go from dressing in really nice dressy casual and suits and dresses - our boys always wore dress pants - and then it slowly became acceptable to dress very casual. Very.
There are still those of us who dress up but I pretty much never wear a dress to church anymore... so the "no women in pants" rule wouldn't work for me. I HATE getting slain in the spirit in a dress - lol - that's my main reason for not wanting to wear a dress.
I believe some people could make more of an effort to dress a little nicer, but as long as they don't have a body odor lingering around them, I'm just glad they're there.

No, we don't have one. What church is that from? Or is it just something a 'troll' printed to see people's reaction?

I've seen it all, every extreme imaginable.
I've been in churches where the singers looked like sex pots and dressed like they were in a club. Then I've seen churches where the ladies looked like they just stepped off the Mayflower onto Plymouth Rock.
I've seen churches that required the women to wear a "2nd covering" meaning a veil or chapel veil and even visitors had to pin one on their heads before entering the sanctuary
I've been in very liberal churches (especially in California) where I just had no words (smh) to churches that were very very strict! You ladies here would be in trouble lol. But , I will say, even the super strict churches never pushed anyone away because of what they had on unless it was hot pants or something extreme.

I was reading the comments under the original post on FB and came across this one... so it sounds like it's real.

It's real from what I gather... don't know what church this is from, but in my experience this isn't very unusual in some churches.

It sounds like it may be based on one of Paul's epistles.
