    Powerful deliverance during baptism

Jesus came to set us free. Now, this has been passed on to the church. It is why we are still here after being saved. Here is what happens when we get back to the basics. If we do the things that the early church did, shouldn't we expect the same results?

Acting in wisdom and even heroically is part of it. Did you know that there is a verse that says that Paul grew more and more powerful and then it mentions the result of this ? That is when aspiration grows into reality.

I think they are being ultra literal rather than theological. They quote this verse :

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

In those days, baptism was often a public way of confessing the faith and some people were saved upon being baptized because the baptism was their public confession ! If you watch the entire video you will see that a woman who watches also decides to believe and her immediate baptism thereby became her confession.
As for the demons, maybe they simply didnt manifest until then or the Spirit didnt point to them. Maybe that was the right moment.

I didn't watch, but just responding. They got them out, why does when matter?

And in getting baptized for the forgiveness of sins, probably referring to...?

    Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

That word remission is also translated forgiveness throughout the NT also, so it wouldn't be unscriptural to quote it as for the forgiveness of sins.

Thats Torben Søndergaard and his Bible is Danish. The Danish translation of the verse does say forgiveness.

Ah. Well that is correctly translated. And like you said, more literal quoting than theological probably.

I would much rather see a person delivered of a demon and then be baptized. It doesn't have to be a spectacle.

I was saved and then at a later date baptized in the Holy Spirit, and got delivered when I was filled with the Spirit. I felt them coming up out of me as hands were laid on me to be filled, and when they hit my throat and came out I/them started screaming. So I'm just glad it happened. I couldn't care less where in the process it happens as long as it happens. As Colonel said, maybe they didn't manifest until then. Maybe it wasn't known until then. They certainly didn't manifest when I was saved, so no reason to think I needed anything cast out of me. All in due time.
