Many like me have said....the 'sexual things' done years ago can be forgiven but he tried to cover it up and twist his way out of it.
2 women were damaged and he did not treat them as Christ expected as a leader/shepherd
He also was confronted - changed his story many times to different people. That is serious deception and lying. Is a deceiver and liar fit for ministry unless he genuinely confesses and repents??

Okay, so this is more a matter of trying to keep up his "strangely conservative" image. That is how he came across to me, although I wasn't sure what to make of it. Maybe he was a bit "Jimmy Swaggart light"? Swaggart came across as very tough on sin at the time when he was in fact at his worst.

Regardless of what or who says Dr. Brown has been reinstated to ministry; the damage has already been done.
He will not have the same moral integrity that he enjoyed before the moral failure was finally exposed.
This alone has hurt the effectiveness of his ministry.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

Years ago our District Supervisor addressed us youth pastors...he said to flee sin. You can be forgiven but the scars cannot be removed.
Jim Bakker's righthand man said that the anointing is easier to lose than get back again.

Christians are a different type. Those who share the public ministry spotlight---well, when they blow it, (secret sin exposed) they either love the offending party, or are very angry at them. They either forgive them or hold onto bitterness and refuse to forgive them (even when Scripture is clear on how to handle such situations). The Roys report holds back no punches either. I didn't realize all the indecent immoral sin happening in the church. Even Jim Bakker's Morningside church lead pastor had to resign because of past sexual abuse allegations against minors while in ministry has come to light. Didn't Bakker vet this guy before he hired him as pastor of his church? That kind of decision spills over into the integrity of Jim Bakker. Is this the end-times or what? I believe it is. Not only because of rampant sin in the world, it can also be found in the church. God help us!

Yeah it's getting pretty thick but at least they are being found out.
