    Excellent article, Nikos!

The great response to the Secret Church shows there are multitudes who still desire to present themselves as living sacrifices. Sadly, a lot of churches don't provide that opportunity. My former pastor complained that people wanted too much Bible study rather than doing the "other" membership commitments.

The entire premise or assertion of your thesis is that people at these music rich venues aren't worshiping. I would be more concerned about judging the hearts of others when it comes to worship style. What if Jesus had not performed miracles to get the attention of non-believers? You think maybe the Pharisees were calling it entertainment or showing off. I think so. I thought the worship wars were over. This is a pretty tired argument, not to mention a terrible distraction. Not to say there's anything wrong with quiet reflective worship. There certainly is not. Blessings.
I concur, Folks really need to just let God's light shine thru them as they know how and bear fruit that way they wont spend energy criticizing others over every little thing . Yes we all know that true worship ultimately isnt about glitz and glamor but we also know that there was an outer court an inner court and the holy of holies and they all have to be caterered to. In other words l;eveles and different depths of worship experiences.

Good point...what does scripture say...think on THESE things, whatsoever things are pure, ect.
Not so sure being kingdom minded gets so distracted and caught up in this stuff too much. Does this happen? Sure..always has...nothing new under the sun. When we consider people being led astray the key word there is LED meaning they have to choose to follow. Jesus said My sheep KNOW My voice...

Maybe this stuff is more of a distraction from Kingdom work than a problem or hindrance to it.

Sure all things CHRISTIAN has become a big money making industry..

I agree that there are different modes of worship. The people need to learn as much as they can about discovering the wonderful dimensions of worship. The Outer Court music tends to sound like entertainment - but that is what halal mode is - celebratory. The mature worship leader with a heart for worship will also know to take the people to other modes (say the more reverential barak mode).

Don't need to gut out the worship just to have 6 hours of Word. They work hand-n-hand. You can do BOTH because both are critically important to God.
