He must have a really expensive attorney. The only way I could see Morris being even able to beat the charge is for his defense team to make Cindy out as the villain. This trial is going to bring a lot of extra exposure to Morris. I guess this thread will see more updates throughout the rest of the year because there is going to be a trial.

I think they always plead not guilty and in the meantime their lawyer negotiates a lesser sentence

Yep, they will likely be looking for a light sentence during the plea bargaining negotiations, if they can't come to an agreement, there will be a trial.

I wonder if they will also be looking for a financial settlement on her behalf. If the prosecutor would accept a plea-bargain such as requiring Morris to register as a sex-offender, 5 years' probation, and Morris agreeing to pay a large sum of money to settle this case, he just may walk out of this mess without having to do any jail time.

Don't they always paint the victim, regardless of age, as a flirting vixen who entices the poor man? Or is that just on TV?

That does exist, and it should make difference in terms of the sentencing, compared to if he simply terrorized the child into doing whatever he wanted from beginning to end.

Yep, that's the general direction of these things.
