That appears to be the case here.

But no, no resentment, I don't envy that trip through the eye of the needle, probably better to lighten up a bit. I used the term "lucre", not MONEY. You might want to research the difference.

Of course the next thing you'll float is that I want preachers to be broke and shoeless! lol

He got saved at 19, and I know at 24 he was on TBN doing interviews with James Robinson.

I believe this was still within the timeframe that Morris was still involved in sin with Cindy Clemishire. She may have been 16 years old by now.
The point is, how could a young evangelist be on a major Christian network interviewing his mentor, James Robison while still practicing secret sin with a minor?
It just goes to show you how powerful sin is when a person gives himself over to it as it now controls him.
Whosoever commits sin is a slave of sin (John 8:34).
This type of ultimate bondage is not referring to a physical slavery, but spiritual bondage to sin, which will manifest in different areas of the flesh, or outward gratification of the fleshly lusts. What Jesus had in mind when He said in verse 34, "commits sin" meant to practice sin continually, in which Morris was doing for close to 5 years.
Maybe I missed it, but I haven't heard anything from James Robison as of late. Maybe he is trying to distance himself from Morris at this time due to "interference" with his own ministry, Life Today. Of course, I have no idea if this is the case. Just a thought. Or maybe James has said something in the likes of what Robert Morris is presently going through (please pray for Robert Morris) and I just haven't heard of it yet.

I knew it was out of the character of James Robison not come forward and make some kind of comment on the Morris matter. I was unaware that the Robison's had made this public statement. Life Today rescues young girls trapped in child trafficking in third world countries, and has built homes, and continues to build centers of refuge to aid children who are forced into child prostitution. I have financially supported Life Today since 2006. They also drill water wells and operate feeding stations to drought affected countries besides doing the child rescues.

James had to make it clear that lies were spread about his involvement with the Morris matter. He and Betty were both appalled at the gravity of Morris sin. They were clueless Morris had molested 12-year-old Cindy, and that he had continued to sin against her for a number of years as she grew. How the lie spread that James himself was involved in the Morris restoration process and was aware of Morris's sexual advances against Cindy is a mystery.

Thank goodness that James exposed the lie of his involvement early on in the Morris debacle, or his global ministry could have suffered backlash, a drop in donations, and irreparable harm. The Robison's expressions showed visibly shock, shaken, and anger in the video Josh posted, and rightly so. They also expressed a deep concern for Cindy Clemishire, and offered prayer for her (and for all those involved) and anything they could do to help the now 54-year-old grandmother.

Only time will tell if others, (ministries associated) will suffer a negative impact because of their affiliation with Robert Morris. The devil is having a field day with the Morris fall. He would love to spread more gossip and affect others who have been a part of Morris's life and ministry.

Actual interview with Cindy Clemishire. First time I've seen or heard her.
The 2 minute news clip can be found in the video below.

In Cindy's own words; He didn't come forward and confess. He was turned in. What are they sorry for? Sorry that they got caught, or are they truly repentant of what they did?
I believe Robert Morris is the only one who knows the answer to Cindy's question here.

Cindy's statements in the above video seem very different to this :

The victim, Cindy Clemishire, now 54 years old, said she did not view the relationship with Morris as abuse until she was 35.
She sounds like she's been coached into fitting the politically correct "#metoo / just-a-victim-of-a-pedophile" mould.

Note that the same political correctness dictates that the 12-year old adolescent is all of a sudden a full blown "sexual being" once the neighbor's 12-year old shows up and wants to do things, and "you shouldn't interfere too much, let them explore their emotions".

This is disgusting. Adolescents are capable of a lot of things when they do not have parents and other adults looking out for them. It does not make what the adult in that situation do right because the child was "hot."

A 12-year-old is not legally able to consent. Period. She was a victim even if she did not think so at the time.

Of course. She did still think that everything had been normal when she was 35, though. Which suggests that she was very much into the whole thing at that time. The law is meant to protect minors against the consequences of their own inability to make good decisions and inability to consent meaningfully, though. That includes Lori Mattix, even though she was a very successful sexual predator from the age of 13. Bill Wyman probably didn't know how old the 13-year old Mandy Smith was - she looked much older. Some of the other rock stars didn't know but they didn't bother to check either. But Robert Morris knew exactly how old Cindy was. Which should have meant prison, at the very least after encounter number 2.
