What!?!? Unbelievable! What is wrong with these men???

When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

I am trying to walk out my own salvation in the Lord. I don't have time to meddle in the affairs of Christian leaders who have sinned. All I can do is pray for them. Most of us have committed some type of sin since our initial point of salvation. I have! I have also been forgiven and restored myself in this Christian life as I endeavor to live free and in victory over the things of the world, the flesh, and the devil. I have grown and matured somewhat more in the things of the Lord and in His word. I am a little bit more aware of who I am in Christ. Being a younger Christian, I admit, I always didn't make the proper decisions which led to "missing the mark" or just outright blowing it. But God has been patient and faithful in keeping me on the straight and narrow, or at least helping me to get up and get back on that path. If I ever do sin, (in word or deed) I hear the Holy Spirit's correction immediately. I am much quicker to repent and be honest with God than when I was in those younger days. I'll be 68 in three weeks, and I'm still here and breathing. Some close calls with death in the past, but the Lord has had mercy and always pulled me through. I'm in the first year of retirement and that is a milestone I thought I might not see. That's all I got to say for now.

This is the first news and article I have read about Dr. Evans and his "missing the mark." Christian Post at link:

My father-in-law knew Tony Evans quite well when he was a young man. Dad was the Director of the Baltimore Rescue Mission, which was the first gospel-oriented mission that reached out to African Americans. Dr. Evans grew up in Baltimore City and served for a time at the mission. I never met him, but I loved listening to the Urban Alternative on the radio as a young wife and mother. I have a deep respect for my father-in-law's ministry and a deep respect for those he respected. I will continue to pray for Dr. Evans and hope to see him restored.
