Jesus often refused to answer questions coming from hostile audiences. He would simply change the subject and put them on the defensive .

Ministers who go for these audiences need to learn that skill. They need to learn to effect become the interviewer since they represent the more powerful Kingdom rather than sitting there like little apologetic puppies struggling to respond to every gotcha question thrown at them.
I think with most famous, successful people they are typically surrounded by yes people, encountering push back is probably foreign to them. Jesus saw it coming, knew the playing field.

His TV is an evangelists ministry with a very soft approach so those who prefer a more Hard Hitting message may not think much of him . Personally I see a Luke 4:18 Ministry and I am sure Luke 4:18 would have caused many with a pharisaical bent to give Jesus the side eye too

Osteens TV minsitry can be summed up in the above and Its a needed ministry for many

As for Jakes .. I disagree with him politically and some of his secular endeavors have left me wondering and gave him a wide berth for a while but I tend to sleep with TBN or Daystar on and sometimes wake up to his sermons and I certainly believe he has a a lot to offer .

Benny Hinn is an anointed Healing Evangelist but when he gets to teaching he can be confusing and take multiple positions at different times but he himself concedes that he has been wrong before . Great Guy ...

Copeland : One Word -- SOLID
    Meyer: One Word -- SOLID

The rest I dot really follow closely but I CHOOSE to believe the best of them and since they are being lumped together with GOOD men and women that probably means they are a threat to the enemy
I agree about Osteen & the others. He reaches a sector of folks of which my mom was one. I love him and laughed hard at his knack for being witty. He is definitely needed for that hard to reach group.

Haven't followed Hinn for a long time, so I'm not sure what he's been up to; and after hearing Jakes infer that it's ok for LGBTQ having positions in the Church, I haven't wanted to hear what he has to say. I prefer the old T.D. from the 90's.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

From what I remember, Jakes' daughter (or possibly an other close family member) decided that she was a lesbian and then Jakes bought into the theory that David and Jonathan were gay and the totally ridiculous theory that Naomi and Ruth were lesbians. It seems to me that gay activists have a particular knack for getting to conservatives through family members, people in my church have faced the same - without actually giving in, but it was quite a fight.
