    Tent meeting

Here's an old fashion tent meeting. Tent meetings use to be everywhere in the United States. But today you seldom see them. Maybe we need more of them today.

This is a link to a Facebook video.

    Grew up on them.

Our camp meeting was under the tent.

    Still go to them periodically

I vaguely recall attending one or two as a child, and even then, I sensed the FIRE of God!!!

I attended many tent meetings in the late 60's and early 70's. Bud Chambers lived here in Okc and set up his tent every summer. Other traveling evangelists would also come in and minister at Bud's tent.

I'm going to a camp meeting in the Deep South next week where there's expected to be over 5,000.

Thankfully they're having in a tabernacle with AC

AA Allan held a tent revival in Oakland CA every summer for several months. Smart guy. The day time average is low to mid 70s with no humidity

Would have loved to have been in one of A.A. Allen's "Big Top" revival services back in the day.

If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

Ephesians Temple Church of God in Christ, Oakland, California, Bishop EE Cleveland use to have him for the entire summer. I know people who remember it well and so many fond memories. Oakland was called "The Chocolate city of the west" when I grew up. The blacks loved AA Allan. He let them shout and dance and have Pentecostal style church.
BTW Ephesians COGIC was where the famous Hawkins musical family grew up and recorded OH HAPPY DAY that sold 9 million singles. Edwin Hawkins use to play for AA Allan too. The church eventually put them out because they sung "Oh Happy Day" at Woodstock and started opening up for The Rolling Stones (or the Beatles). That was considered very worldly by the holiness church.
