I wasn't necessarily referring to the prophetic when it comes to being flaky.

Many people do not allow for human error when it comes to the prophetic which I think in many cases, is a mistake. They're are too unforgiving when a prophet gets it wrong, but will give their pastor a pass on something else. I have friends like this.

I was more or less referring to hopping from church to church and having no roots.

There is no better way to get it right, than to discover mistakes and shortcomings first.
If you can see where you are messing up, then you will also know it when you get it right.
We are all going to miss it! God is God. He can take care of it.
God can take care of your mistakes if you just had more faith in Him than you did in your weakness and failure!
So, yes you will miss it but so what? Does it really matter? No, it doesn't matter! What matters is the outcome, and God is in control of that.
What is important is that you keep your heart pure before Him.
Let the Holy Spirit speak from your spirit. When God speaks to us, that word comes from our spirit into our soul and is expressed through our words and actions.
I am not saying, "Don't think," just don't let your analytical mind block off your spirit.
There is no better confidence booster than "knowing that you know" that giving a prophetic word is of God and that you are saying it with authority. It gives you such a faith booster to have this kind of confidence. Then when you speak with that kind of faith, the word comes out with such power.
How do you know that you are speaking a revelatory word that is really from the Lord?
Your mind is logical. It is going to think according to what you know, according to what you've read and according to the thoughts you have in your mind.
So if your getting a revelation that is logical (Trump is going to win a 2nd term by a landslide) it would be wise to be a little cautious of that word, hold back a bit and wait for some confirmation. Why? When God speaks, it is called revelation because it is something that was revealed to you that you didn't know before. A God given revelation is new and fresh and is something you didn't consider and didn't think of before.
It is always honorable to recognize that you are representing the King of Kings when giving a word in His behalf and you are not speaking on behalf of yourself.
Touch the gold and not the glory. A word given to you from the Holy Spirit and given through you to a group of people or to one person must always and should represent the Lord Jesus Christ and glorify Him. Then ask yourself, "Did that word change anybody's life? Did that word change any body's heart? Did it leave them with something to think about? Did it reflect any correction, destiny, or purpose? Did it leave them with a seed in their hearts, or did it just go in one ear and out the other? Your end goal as God's mouth piece is to bring change, direction, and purpose. It doesn't fall on you for them to receive a word given through you from the Lord, it is only required of you to be obedient to speak it forth. If they did or do not receive it, they are not rejecting you but God, and change is futile.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

We need to stop making excuses for Major failed prophecies...literally multitudes of believers hang on the words of these prophets and just maybe God is offended that his Word is taken less seriously than the utterings of these prophets.

God has allowed them to fail to bring in some humility and break the idolatry of elevating these prophets

Prophecy has it's right scriptural place that can bring great blessing but it has become foolish vain utterings in many circles

    Thus saith me

If only the ones having gone adrift would correct themselves. Remember Todd Bentley of the Lakeland Fl outpouring? That is just one case in point. Todd started well in the restoration process but did not follow through. Yes, God can take care of it...but He depends on leaders to correct. This is what apostles and pastors do and do well yet many walk away from it. In that case it needs to be published to protect the unsuspecting (gullible and weak) believers that follow such.

What I posted above is a reflection of a "real" genuine prophet who has been called to that office by God and not by "himself." The prophet will learn from his mistakes (more on that below) as the Lord teaches him/her to walk in the prophetic ministry.
Many of todays prophets have embraced the prophetic office in the form of a false calling. In other words, they were never called by God to this specific ministry mandate.
They have "ordained themselves" into thinking that being a prophet is a "flamboyant" lifestyle, and they will be at the center of the "platform" as to calling themselves Prophet so and so. Nothing could be further from the truth. Having a attitude of this magnitude is rooted in pride and falsehood. Period!
The Lord Jesus calls all to follow Him in His death and resurrection. As a sinner is called to salvation, they experience their first death and resurrection as they lay down their old life to take up their new one.
For many this is the first and last time they experience death to the flesh, (from a ministerial standpoint and not a personal one) and if they have no desire to push forward and move into the fulness of the call of the Lord that He may for them, they will not be required to face further death and resurrection that will be involved in pursuing a five-fold office ministry calling.
However, if you have committed your life to the work of the Lord and asked that He step in and shape you for the call, you can be sure that death to the flesh will be a frequent occurrence in your life. If you know the Holy Spirit, you will know He is a gentleman and that He never imposes His will. He will only work in you if you give Him the license to do so. Everything we receive and function in, in our Christian walk is done by faith. And so unless you have asked in faith for the Holy Spirit to shape you for a specific calling that He has placed within you, He will not step in and do it. So in that light, not all Christians are called to the same level of death to the flesh.
Death to the flesh is designed to remove the dross in your life to bring out the gold. But be encouraged because death is by no means the end. It is just the beginning to a path as the Lord leads you to fulfill your destiny and assignment in life. Understanding what a prophet is and what a prophet does, begins dying to your carnal reasoning to what you think a prophet is and what you think a prophet does! How many false prophets operating in a false narrative in which they have been functioning, in all their fame and accomplishments, have come to a place where they are ready to throw it all into the fire, start over, or just walk away? How many false prophets have spoken falsehood into peoples lives and God was never involved in any of those prophetic words in the first place? What if one of these people who assumed they were called to the prophetic ministry in which they had the attitude, "If I stand and speak a word into somebody's life, and it never comes to pass, its no big deal."
God will hold that person accountable, because ruin and ship wrecked faith could be the final outcome in that individual(s) life down the road. The lives of people are in the prophets hands, and they must consider their responsibility as serious as it is to give a "Thus Saith The Lord." You had better have known that the "word given" was a revelation from the Holy Spirit. I believe a prophet who is not seasoned or lacking maturity could "miss it" (and learn from the mistake) if interpreting a message given in tongues, or given a general prophecy with no set directive in acting to a life changing event, or predicting that Donald Trump will win a second term. But when it comes to a "Thus Saith The Lord," you had better be correct because people are going to base their lives on your words. As a word of caution, any specific direct word given to you by a prophet that is going to result in a life-altering change in which great personal sacrifice is involved, should always follow with a confirmation in your spirit, knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has spoken to you.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

    No problem ..
I think the problem is that many people think the office of the NT prophet is wholly characterized by the accuracy of the prophet or his interpretation of what he/she saw ... in essence they bring an OT paradigm

Accuracy to me is more of a function of the maturity of the prophet ...

I guess the point is though they will NOT be vindicated. They said it would be the last election. If he is elected again in 2024, that is not a vindication. They only switched to that after he wasn't elected this time. No claiming, 'we just got the timing wrong.' Accept you missed it and move on. That's maturity. Not trying to keep your missed prophecy relevant.

Distinction without a Difference my friend

Furthermore , Who is "THEY" ? ..Only one of them said without Equivocation that Trump would serve two consecutive terms and that's Katt Kerr .. The rest of them in my opinion were not as specific as you seem to think..

If you had been following "closely" you would know that the theme went from Trump would win the election to .. "Trump won the election but lets pray its not stolen" as far back as November 2020
