    Hillsong church-Christmas Carols

This church needs a revival. If it is a church at all. I just wondered as I saw this if any of the dancers here would get Holy Ghost goosebumps as they saw this. It might make them want to get up and dance for Jesus!

I stopped watching at 3:43. I felt like I was watching an evil mockery of Christianity.

Wow. Ok...sooooooo....looks like what they were going for is to put Silent Night to a jazz theme. Now that on it's face is really weird. But some of the seductive moves and the lead female with that short dress on.....I'm shaking my head. I "get" that Christmas is a celebration, but this is just straight-up bad taste on every level.

Just when you think you've seen everything.....

I didn't finish watching it, either. You beat me though. I didn't get much past 2 minutes.

    hated it.

But, my response wasn't as strong as Curly and Catchy. I saw the dancing as just trying to be hip (or whatever the term is now) not seductive.

Catchy, I think I saw some kind of shorts under her skirt..

I hated it because of what they did to the song.

I'm talking about several things when I used that term. First, when the camera panned away to the couples sitting at the tables, it looked like the couples were flirting with each other. Secondly, one of the male dancers busted a move that looked a bit "stripperish" (grinding his hips a bit severely during the dance). Regardless of the girl lead wearing shorts or not really is beside the point...I figured she was. It's the mere fact that she found it appropriate to show that much skin to, "Silent Night" is insane. It shows how far the Church has fallen.

Silent Night put to a jazz theme....I mean....what in the?!? What?????!! What ON EARTH does the jazz age have to do with Christ's birth??? It literally just makes no sense at all.

I'm all for creativity, being artsy myself and whatnot but this was just bizarre and vulgar. Made no sense and nothing spiritual about any of it. Shame on Hillsong for even doing it.

I mean I don't even get that. I have an extreme disconnect from what was going on there. I mean all the planning that took, at no point nobody just asked, what the heck are we doing and how relevant is this really....to ANYTHING?

BTW, go to Youtube and read the comments on the video.

Are you kidding me!? The same Hillsong that brought one of my fav worship songs; Christ Is Enough, is bringing this heretical garbage? Look I like a good Broadway but you church is supposed to be a House of God. Jesus turned the tables for this?

Not surprised. This is extremely immoral. But that's what happens, when you try to please the world over God. To call your "church" "Christian" or being of Christ, is blasphemous. It's worldly, cloaked with Christian terminology. That's it. Please repent. This is not okay.

This is a church right or Burlesque? My God have mercy!

Wow! I am in a combined state of shock and disappointment. The same group that gave the world 'Christ is enough', 'Oceans' and 'I surrender' has put forward this garbage. This is just wrong. The Gatsby themed 'Silent Night'?? Seriously?

If you told me this occurred on a stage in Las Vegas, I'd believe you. If you told me this happened on a stage on Broadway, I'd believe you... But am I to believe that people who self-identify as Christians but on this performance on a 'worship' stage in a 'Christian' church? I would be ashamed to be there in person, this is not what Christianity looks like. This is what pride and sensuality look like. They should be embarrassed.

Oh, my goodness! I love Hillsong, but this London church has gotten off on some weird tangent about what constitutes worship. Silent Night as a broadway dance number with flappers? I love upbeat interpretations, but this is just inappropriate and I don't sense Holy Spirit there. It is man-oriented. No anointing.

I couldn't watch more than 20 seconds of that nonsense.

    Just. No.

I think the feather fans bothered me more than anything. They were used in the past for strippers...to cover up the "naughty bits" and show peeks to the crowd. WHY would you want to use that sort of reference in your church?! Not to mention....I did NOT like the jazzed up version.

    REALLY dislike.
