Well, lotsa thoughts. Don't have time to spell out everything BUT, I literally busted out laughing a few times. When he got to the address to black women, I really lost it. I've heard of self-hating Jews, but not self-hating blacks. More later.

This goes beyond "old school", Wheez. It almost sounds racist....I mean, look. Blacks living in much of Africa were under some powerful principalities and outside of Ethiopia, were under those principalities for many centuries. That's what was going on in Africa. We can't just overlook that. To call blacks out as the only ones with, "something wrong with their minds" just seems bizarre and racist. To use the N word so much just seems crass. I found a few nuggets and I did find some of it amusing with a huge touch of crazy embellishment.

I found him mostly amusing, but found much of his commentary inflammatory and unhinged. Not a lot of "truth spoken in love".....imo.....

Did he say they were the ONLY ones? Sounded to me like he was emphasizing that he was addressing black people because he was black himself.

As for racists...defined by Webster. " :a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race..

I don't agree...he said they have a thinking or a mind problem. I would say he was leaning toward a generational stronghold of the mind..

I think you are hearing things he did not say......there was nothing dignified about his critique. There is a way of saying things....no diplomacy, nothing to be gained by scolding blacks the way he did. I'm astonished you are ok with everything he said. No, Quest, he didn't say blacks were the ONLY ones, but he sure as heck implied it. By continuing to say that blacks have something wrong with their minds, by saying Africans didn't "build anything", by calling them "n-----s", etc....is not befitting a minister of the gospel.

I know nothing should surprise me, but your comments leave me stunned.

I am basing my assessment on what he stated...not his diplomacy. He stated he was talking to black people and in his intro he stated it's true of white people and black people but he was talking to black people. So to me that statement means he is singling them out..not that they are the only ones.

He stated numerous times it is in their world view and also said that people may not like how he says it but they cannot refute what he said...and IMHO he was accurate.

My comments often leave you stunned.

I believe he is addressing a generational curse that is adopted in the culture, and even preserved as 'black culture'. It's deception. And that describes the almost cultish mindset.

But he didn't say that at all.
