I've been shooting a Glock 19 9mm for the past couple years. I like the accuracy, concealability and the ease of cleaning. Next year I may trade one of my 9mm pistols for a 45ACP. I have two Glocks. One on each side of the Atlantic. I used to carry a Springfield Arms 9mm but I like the Glock better and I can't get the Springfield in Israel. That reminds me, my Israeli carry license needs renewal in June.

CPL course this Saturday. I’m a bit geeked. Been reading state regs from the MSP site and doing my practice at the “range”. Will be carrying the 1911 .45 auto on “condition one” soon and most happy about being able to legally carry during archery deer season where the big buck knows me along with the pack of wolves and bears. Yup, we be packing heat and peacefully coexisting in the big swamp where only Firebrand hunts.

Did CPL training today. The best part was our range time and watching others handling their firearms under “quick fast and hurry-up” conditions at the 6’ mark. Like, how can you miss so up close and personal, right?

The Rock Island .45 has about 350 rounds through it and is nearly broke in. The Magtech ammo still works well through it and is accurate. This has been a blast to shoot on the range or plinking out on an old road.

When in the lower ranks (Capt) he was attached to the Minnesota armory. I’d asked because he was involved at the Grayling based maneuvers. He was an experienced combat engineer, EOD stuff in Iraq. Recently he was involved with hunting, killing ISIS. Nowadays he gets called up for orders out of the Pentagon, security clearanced. We knew each other from his highschool days in Petoskey, early 80s. You’d find him very interesting to talk and fellowship with.
