I actually went and looked at it on the map. Mrs. Zeke wants to be close to the ocean or gulf though. Atlanta is too far inland. Looking on Zillow at eastern Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, southern Alabama, east of Mobile. Problem is not knowing what any of these areas or cities are like without a visit. Don't want to end up in a bad area. Hoping for a small town or rural area.

Well every area has it 'bad area'. Just just don't go the 'bad area' of the area, but the good area of the area.

City Data has good info, including forums where real people contribute to profiles, down to neighborhoods and school districts.

Might save you some gas money!

Here we go...this is that time of year when we upnorth folk look at the 4” of fresh snow and with a warmup coming we say “fuggetaboudit”. That means let it melt. I have nowhere to put it anyways.

Here are some. There's far less snow by now, we've been above freezing a lot the last weeks and the sun is rising.

I was already in that mode last year when the freak snowstorm in April hit us. I had to snowblow like 2 or 3 more times at that point!

That was some bizarre freaky sand-like snow. My truck could hardly get through it.

I had to break down and snow-blow last night. Too much snow in the drive for when the rain and thaw hits this week. It will be a mushy mess anyhoo when the packed down 4" in the drive starts melting.

Here is one of the banks along the country lane out front. This one is 6' tall and has melted a bit. We will have snow into May.

Avoid Pensacola unless you visit and are sure about it. Very boring, lots of poverty spirit there. The beach is nice, it can be OK in an enclave section. We had a house in a golf course there a few years back.
