I'm guessing Quest meant a graVe site.

I love your yard though lively....I wish I had that much sunlight!

Thank you! We really don't have an extravagant yard...just a few simple, everyday type of plants, and we use lots of black mulch to keep the weeds down. We are fortunate to have a large space for sunlight, but I have seen some very lovely gardens in yards that have almost full shade...amazing!

I keep adding in shade plants/bulbs every time I see them on sale. Hopefully I'll have a nice backyard one of these days. I haven't wanted to take it on as a project...like I did in the front. I've gone in stages...front flower bed...raised beds, now just enjoying what I have, and debating on the backyard.

Sounds like a plan to me! Sometimes just a nice foundation of stone or pea gravel can be a good base to work with, without planting at all. Adding chairs, and side tables and personal items of interest can make a shady place so inviting! Your overheated and sunned-out friends would love to visit in the cool shade of your yard!
