No....but my fathers best friend used to have them and we received the benefits from fresh honey
Many store products are processed and 'watery' syrup
I became interested in bees because there has been alot of publicity with bees dying and the damage to agriculture. One article I read stated if bees all died it would cause a massive food
shortage and many people would die.
It's amazing how God created this simple insect that is necessary to the survival of many plants and food and the human population
Ever since then I have kept an active interest in bees.....I am a big bee fan

The honey in stores has been heated and much of the healthy nutrition literally filtered out...pure raw honey contains pollen from local plants...that is why it is good for building immunity to allergies. The beauty of the Flow Hive frames is it comes out totally pure from the frames..it is not filtered unless one chooses to...it is not heated from the extractors that spin the honey off the frames....
Yes! I have been talking to my grandsons about the wisdom and knowledge God vested in creation...how it is intended as coexistent Eco system...
I reminded them that some discussions of environmentalists are correct...we are to care for the earth rather than allow greed to drive us to destroy it....yet at the same time, utilize it's resources...balance is key.
Finding ways to protect crops from devouring insects without poison that kills them and bees rather than finding options to protect most crops in a healthy way respecting the Eco system...
My mentor lost a mass number of hives last year...a farmer next door literally told him he used insecticides on his crops to kill the bees because his 'Mexicans' were mad at being stung....millions of bees died right on that one farm because a strong hive in summer can have 40-60,000 bees...and he lost at least 70 hives.
Proverbs 3: 18-20
18 She (wisdom) is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who hold her fast. 19 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth, By understanding He established the heavens. 20 By His knowledge the deeps were broken up And the skies drip with dew.…

Yes, they will become honey bound. Beekeepers will find all the bees gone/dead but the hive full of honey...
This can also happen with a very inferior queen...she is not laying right and they fill all the brood cells with honey and pollen...this is one cause of a swarm...
Research 'queenless hive'. Another thing they will do is develop a 'laying worker' if it is queenless for too long and there was no eggs or larva to produce a new queen from...She releases the same pheromone and tells them there is a queen. She will lay eggs but they will all be unfertilized DRONE eggs producing the same results.a dead hive.
If a beekeeper figures out their hive is queenless and does NOT realize they have a laying worker, the bees will kill any queens they try to requeen with...
To get rid of her they have to take each frame out and go some distance from the hive...shake off all the bees...then return the frames...the forager bees will return home but the workers will die because their homing GPS has not been 'turned on'. So the worker false queen is now gone and the hive can be re-queened...some of the foragers will revert to their old job of nurse bees to bring balance back to the hive..
They are very interesting...

I found out last night at the Bee club meeting that harvesting on humid days can raise the moisture content of the honey...anything over 20% will ferment.
I ordered a refractometer to test the moisture in this. it seems to be high.
Also...one cannot open 1 side of the frame...when you crack open a frame it opens both sides. However if you push the opening tool only half way it will open part of it...after the video I pushed the tool all the way in and got another 1/2 quart....
There was NO honey in the tray so the small amount left in the channel likely leaked gradually and the bees recycled it...leaking honey from the channel was a major concern of traditionalists...
PS...I do not have any editing software...and I opted to NOT add music as the birds provided ...
