My Wife Is Packing
No, not for moving/trip etc...she had a spontaneous moment at the gunshop with me and asks me what she should carry.
I have urged her for years. She has never accepted my offer to sit at the bench with a lowly .22 (my little 10-22 sniper backup) and now she suddenly ups and says she wants to carry.
Here is what she is training with:
Smith and Wesson Airlight 642 in 38spec. Good choice if I say so myself. It's what Pres Trump carried for years.

No better time like the present.

Jim carries, and I will eventually. The problem is that I'm just not that interested in guns, but I should still do it.
A 62-year-old rabbi was attacked when he took out his trash in Park Heights Saturday night. The men attacked him and pushed him to the ground. They tried to steal his car, but when it wouldn't start, they went back to beat him up some more. The rabbi was carrying and was able to scare them off. It was reported that the rabbi was still dressed for synagogue when he went outside, so they are investigating whether he was targeted.
I often take out the trash the night before pick up and feel very safe. I even know the homeless druggies in the park, and they look out for the neighborhood. But it only takes once. Less than a block away, there have been two shootings in the last two weeks.

There are alternatives. Our culture is running ragged at the edges with all the pent up rage of our day. Here in our small town, most of us carry.
