    Post Kindle's , Ipads, Tablets...

So I am thrilled..My new cover for my Kindle Paperwhite came in today. It is cheap, well-made and purple. All the things a case has to be.
I have a Kindle FireHD(several years old), A Kindle Paperwhite(love it built in light..yaaay) and a old Kindle keyboard on it's very last leg. I like kindle's guess you could tell.
What do you have or prefer..Kindle, Nook, Ipad,Tablets of some sort?

Mostly, I prefer my laptop, but I do love my Kindle touch. The kindle is better for reading books but the laptop is better for everything else.

I just have the very least expensive Kindle I could find. I only wanted it for reading books, nothing else and it is great for that.

When I first bought my iPad a few years ago I became a tablet nut. I loved it. But limitations in the software began to get to me after awhile (it's basically a large iPhone without the phone; uses the same software), and finally got over using a tablet. Been back to the laptop for a few years now.

No matter what there is a limitation to what a tablet can do.
Because my son is a tech..I have a large laptop, a small laptop and a desktop provided used by him and updated. the small laptop is nice but I use my desktop for most things and my fire for email and for checking forums and ordering books and suchlike. Reading is done on my Paperwhite. So I am set for nearly any contingency.

I was looking at my very OLD ipod...my old kindle keypad and my 4s Iphone the other day and wondering if I should invest in something to simplify all that..Not sure since they all still function as needed...I did ponder the Ipad and came to the same conclusion...the tablet won't accomplish what I want so...keeing my old stuff..

I have an ancient Sony e-reader, and a 7" generic tablet. I bought the tablet about a year ago. I have them both strictly for reading, but I seldom use either. I only have free books on my two devices and have read a lot of classics. The next product I buy for reading will be an inexpensive Kindle.

I'm still using the same old pc, however Mr C put Linux on it last fall, I think. I really like Linux. I don't really like reading books on my desktop.

I have an older Kindle Fire that I love! It's the handiest thing for books (love reading) and games and just general browsing the internet. For forums though and keeping up with news, videos and so forth I have to get my laptop out. Love the Kindle but it's just not the same.

I love my kindle...but it's one of the old ones without the built in light. I would love to have a backlight, BUT it seems like a waste, when I can just use a small booklight, which costs next to nothing.

Well, you could basically replace all that with an iPhone 6 Plus. The current iPods, the top of the line ones are iPhones without the phone, so you still have the good music capability in the phone, you have a 5.5" screen that you can use a Kindle app on that's pretty big, and not hard to read on. It's perfect for replacing all that.
