Goodbye American Idol-Gone to TV Heaven

The iconic singing talent show that produced several popular performers, some of whom whose careers has skyrocketed to fame such as Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Stoddard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, and David Cook over its 15 year run, has finally come to an end.

The final season is going out with a bang showcasing the talents of young newcomers and spotlighting past winners. It's been an interesting, sometimes controversial ride, but it's never been dull. I won't miss it, but I have enjoyed a few seasons and decided to watch the last few weeks.

There's one young lady that's out performed ALL of the contestants from day one (I watched a few of the auditions), so much so, that the judges have remarked several times, "I don't feel like I'm critiquing you just being taken in by your performance!"

The young lady is La Porsha Renae, and I believe she's got a good chance to have the same if not more success as AI alumni Jennifer Hudson. Can't hardly believe she was in the bottom two tonight, but "fickleness" is a familiar trait among Idol fans.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

I don't usually watch the talent shows, but I used to be a fan of The Original Amateur Hour with Ted Mack!

The last time I followed that was the Diane DeGarmo/Fantasia thingie. Everything erupted into another racial spat.

    Good riddance!

    Unhappy

Well it's over and once again the voters messed it up and got it wrong. LaPorsha Renae should have won. I'm so glad it's off the air cause there were just too many misses.

Thank goodness that some of the non-winners got record deals and their careers blew up, especially for Jennifer Hudson who won an Academy Award for her role as Effie in the film "Dreamgirls", and whose career as a singer is off the chain!

I hope LaPorsha has as much success or more. RIPurgatory American Idol.
