I have been reading that BBC is starting up a subscription service similar to Netflix to broadcast in the US.

You know, It's sad that only Peace mentioned a Christian network (the God Channel)...

I used to watch TBN, Daystar, INSP and the Word Network almost exclusively, but with the exception of a very few programs/preachers (such as Jentzen Franklin, Hal Lindsey, Jack Van Impe and Mark Chironna), it's actually painful for me to watch so-called Christian TV these days.

A long time ago, I watched a lot of Christian tv. I know there have been people helped over the years, but I rarely watch anymore.

I love HGTV.. If I sit down to watch TV, I go there first. Fixer upper is probably my favorite show right now. We like the food network as well. Of course the kids like nick Jr and Disney lol

I'm still in "mourning" for the bundles I got rid of. I was paying too much for cable and had to cut down. The hardest was getting rid of the bundle that includes TCM. I've always had it and it was difficult to let it go. I also miss Encore Westerns.

That said, the channels I watch the most when I get the chance (I DVR everything), WGN, USA, History, Food Network, RTV (retro television), a couple News channels, Daystar, and INSP.

When they have something I want to see I'll record something on A&E, TV ONE, OWN, HGTV, FAMNET, and BET.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Years ago, I watched a lot of The 700 Club, and it provided comfort to me during times of difficulties.

I still catch the 700 Club on occasion - They will always have a special place in my heart, because I gave my life to Jesus, as a result of calling in and praying with one of their telephone prayer counselors.

There was a time I watched it daily, even caught TBN and PTL often too.

I was a stone-cold PTL fan at one time - I have to admit, I liked Tammy Faye - She was quirky, kooky and silly, but I guess I could relate because I can be that way too.

... I think she and Jim started out with good intentions, but again, the fame and fortune of this world made them take their eyes off Jesus.

Hubby and I visited their "Heritage Village" in South Carolina - years ago, after the scandal rendered it a ghost town, and it was still a gorgeous property that - if it had been run with integrity and prudence, would have been a beautiful place of retreat for Christians seeking relaxation and some good, "clean" fun.
