Thread: Lucifer

    Lucifer

Apparently its a new series on Fox that follows the X-Files on Monday nights. I saw parts of the premiere episode and it has the potential to be a good whodunit...but the premise, the devil is bored and on vacation.

    Here's the trailer:

I recorded the first episode and then couldn't bring myself to watch it, deleted it and didn't consider it again. There's enough stupidness on TV without deliberately watching a show about the enemy of my soul.

There isn't much that I refuse to watch on TV (other than the Kardashians) and I love sci fi, horror, fantasy, but even I couldn't bring myself to watch a show starring Satan, especially if they were going to make him a cool guy.

Watched the first episode out of curiosity just to see how they were gonna "spin" it, and sure enough, they're trying to make the devil cool, suave and sexy.

You can guarantee, every time the devil shows up in your life...he's gonna be cool, suave and sexy. It's easy to dismiss horrific and scary, not so much when they look like a long, tall drink of water.

To answer Fuego, yes, I watched it but only because it immediately followed an episode of The X-Files that I was watching. I then got distracted and didn't change the channel and by then I was curious with the whodunit part.

Romans, yep, that's what they were aiming for. The part I hated the most was Lucifer's referencing of God as 'father'...isnt' that something out of Mormon theology?

Are you talking from experience? Got a story or two you'd like to share?

I'm not a sci-fi or fantasy fan so I'm not even curious. Once in a while I will watch something with "some" fantasy as there is so much of it out there now.
