My folks watched the show when I was 4 or 5. The intro music still gives me chills and grins. Between this show and Flipper I started getting a feel for Florida at a very early age.

Remember him doing the bartender at the end of his show. Joe the bartender and Crazy Guggenheim.

    I always liked Jackie Gleason.
Unfortunately, he had health issues during his life.
At 62, Jackie had Triple-bypass surgery.
He also struggled with excess weight gain.
Mr. Gleason was known to drink on more than one occasion.
He smoked 4 packs of Marlboro cigarettes a day.
At age 70, Jackie was diagnosed with colon cancer which spread to his liver.
The famous comedian also had diabetes.
Jackie Gleason succumbed to liver cancer which cost him his life at the age of 71 in 1987.
His health issues contributed to his death which at 71, was fairly young, considering some actors live into their eighties.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

When I do get to watch TV, my viewing is old school programs. And since Blue Bloods is no longer on, I've added 2 Network (CBS) programs that I watch streamed on Paramount on Saturday mornings. The new Matlock with Kathy Bates & Elsbeth (whom I call the female Columbo).

I still watch Jeopardy! Always will.

This episode was on today on the Johnny Carson channel. Bette Davis & Richard Pryor were on the episode prior to this. Both shows were awesome.
