"God is love" should be ample actually. The Bible doesn't equate God to that many words.
"God is"
"God is light"
"God is spirit"
That's four, there aren't that many more.

I found this interesting quote recently: "(people) talk much about God's love, but not His wrath and holiness; much of how deprived of good things people are, but not about their depravity; much about that God wants to give us, but nothing about the necessity of obedience to Him; much about health and happiness, but nothing about holiness and sacrifice".

Which made the comparison pointless.

That's not the case on this forum.

Where is that in the book Colonel? I must of missed it.

Did the apostle John tell you he wrote his gospel for mature Christians ....did he tell Calvinists
What about the many churches who give the gospel of John to new believers after they make a confession of faith or the many that have read John and come to faith
Calvinism twists the pure love of God into a humanistic love based on man made doctrine

In general they want lots of passages to have "the Christians" / "the elect" as their only context. So why not declare the entire gospel of John as directed at "mature Christians" only ?

Because God desires obedience that stems from love and relationship whereas Calvinism is cold hard legalistic obedience that is the LOWEST form of obedience

That is good, one should always look at God's "wrath and holiness", people's "depravity", "the necessity of obedience to" God and "about holiness and sacrifice" in a Biblical, and except for depravity, positive light.
