I would like to add a quick addendum....This is about the heart response of an individual toward the covenant with God and not any particular belief system such as OSAS..in fact as was noted on another thread we all know some people in the limelight who were once Pentecostal in their faith who have shifted to produce much bad fruit, and be proud of it...

I believes some OSAS people hold a deep faith and sensitivity to the correction of God...however if this interpretation is correct, are in constant danger of vines and bad fruit...which would explain why there is the need to believe 'we all are human and sin every day'....IMHO people with this root flawed idea of our covenant are always working harder at identifying and trying to pick off bad fruit....

I think this is relevant because we often may be trying to pick off the bad fruit and never getting to the root...IF the root is our flawed relationship with God and faulty understanding of covenant...
The verse calls the bitterness itself a root. How in turn the root got there is a different matter.

If we avoid the "high road" of defining sin as anything that could possibly have been better, whether in terms of heart inclinations, motivations, application etc then sin is something that can largely be avoided. Someone who is in the habit of avoiding sin and is grounded in the faith itself can walk with a very high level of security.
