I don't...I did early in my walk but came to understand if I was to know God accurately I had to see Him through the eyes of both covenant testaments...I do believe many today ARE...is it a problem with systematic theology? yes

Eating bacon will not keep you out of heaven. It might actually get you there faster. However, since there will be no bacon in heaven, you might want to delay that as long as possible. God will not defy His own instructions concerning eating pigs so that you can have bacon in heaven.
    Plan ahead.

Just for the sake of variety, try smoked goose breast some time. Hint: Tastes like bacon. And it's kosher! Of course we would have to assume that we will need food to survive in heaven and that we will not be vegetarians in heaven. But, no, no bacon will be served and yes, it will truly be heaven.
As for the myriad small things that God teaches in Torah, you should plan on God reminding us of them. He gave us these teachings so that we could begin to know a little about His ways, the things He loves, the things He hates, His character and His nature. When you get a complete grasp on those things it will be time to move to more complex issues.

I see God telling Peter to eat all animals but he never bothers to tell him to quit avoiding seats where menstruating women sat previously.

I know a lot of people will say that Tom is being legalistic here but when you consider that a pig will eat any old nasty thing, including its own bloody testicles when cut off (a friend of mine who used to be a pig farmer told me about a real incident that led him to never eat pork), you might think twice about putting old Porky in your body.

God's laws were established for practical reasons.
