He does not have to take it over as you stated..it was prepared FOR him..when he and HIS followers are placed there it's HIS domain..just like he has a kingdom here on earth..

    Matthew 12:25-26

25 And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand. 26"If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?

John 8:44 43"Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. 44"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father.

I understand you are saying that Jesus is the ultimate Lord of ALL, however we know that Satan has a kingdom and is the ruler of that kingdom. It is a kingdom authority Adam handed him. In Hell God will no longer be intervening on behalf of Satan's subjects..they will be totally his..
The verse is clear...they will be cast into the lake of fire and that is the end of the matter where God is concerned. Satan, the ruler of his kingdom will remain so because the Bible does not say otherwise.

What you say is true to some degree.

Satan and his angels are cast into the lake of fire. They belong to him spiritually because of sin and so do the sinners. The lake of fire is God's and the fire is God's. It is not handed over to Satan for Satan to rule it. According to the principle of being judged according to ones deeds, Satan will be judged more harshly in the lake of fire than anyone else, since he has sinned more than anyone else. The sinners are still connected to him but he has no kingdom to rule besides that. The lake of fire will be his prison for eternity and he himself will be judged there, in God's holy fire. His former kingdom of Hades will also be judged along with him, in the lake of fire and so will death itself be. Whatever goes on among those in the lake of fire, it will be completely overshadowed by God's fire. The lake of fire and brimstone is first and foremostly about God's judgment and Satan is not God's servant executing God's judgments. He himself will be subject to the 'everlasting burning' that the sinners of Zion were terrified of, and he will dread it more than anyone else.

I disagree...it's Satan's GOD given domain...that makes him the ruler.
Jesus said he had a kingdom so he has a kingdom...that settles it for me.

Where does the Bible say that God gave Satan the lake of fire to be Satan's kingdom ? And why would God give His defeated enemy anything whatsoever ?

OK, so Satan who was (apparently) God's top angel, who was the first to rebel against God, who then caused man to sin, who (according to some) causes everything bad that happens on earth, as his punishment gets a kingdom to rule over and the angels who followed him get to inflict punishment on the human sinners they tempted to sin.

Wow! Imaging what we'll get for being good!!!

So when a prison is made for prisoners it's their domain; when a child care centre is made for babies it's their domain? Yes hell was prepared for the devil and his angels, but it was prepared as a place of eternal punishment for him, not a place to rule an idea which comes from comic book theology.

Rev 20:10*The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet*are.*And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Satan will be tormented forever and he cannot escape. That is the diametrical opposite of ruling the place.

If Hades had been cast into the lake of fire with Satan in it then one could argue that Satan's rule over Hades could be said to be intact. That is not what happens. They are all separated from each other : Satan, his angels, hades, death, sinners. Then they are cast into the lake of fire separately. Satan is no longer inside Hades, they are all inside the lake of fire. The lake of fire rules them all.

Mat 25:41*“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels

The verse does not say that God prepared some lake to be Satan's new kingdom for him to rule. It says that the fire itself is prepared for him. The fire is what the lake contains and the lake is what contains him in that fire. He doesnt sit by the shore of the lake watching his subjects be tormented in a fire God gave him, he himself is cast into that fire and is tormented by it forever.

The fire is not prepared as a gift, it is prepared (in advance) for his torment.
