What I been praying for our government as I pray for my enemies. Is for God to forgive them for they know not what they do & to bless them and guide them to the Truth. I give it to You Lord, Your will be done.

For awhile there it robbed me of my Joy in the Lord.

That's the best attitude to have if an ungodly person wins

We can rejoice if the godly are elected and rejoice if ungodly don't win

There is a godly rejoicing that evil is defeated

Proverbs 10:11 - When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation (NKJV)
(AMP) - When it goes well for the righteous, the city rejoices, And when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.
Not sure I'm understanding the difference, here's the definition of gloat.

Lol...I mean weren't you kind of gloating here?

What would compel Hillary to do this? They can't let go...

    Can you elaborate?

From that definition I was gloating but in my thoughts I was thinking more of
spiteful rejoicing to describe a persons attitude.

I can understand it seems similar and yet there are 2 verses that seemingly contradict each other. It must relate to a persons heart attitude of joy at someones misfortune.

I'm sure God wasn't displeased when people rejoiced at Hitlers death - When Haman died in the OT the Jews rejoiced.

It's similar to this verse :

Rom 12:19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

Some times people rejoice in punishments out of bloodthirst rather than out of a sense of justice being done. God is all about the latter, man is sometimes to often about the former.

In regard to the scripture we are discussing we must always have a proper balance of righteous judgment, our attitude of heart and motive for rejoicing.
Do we want to see righteousness??

Below I am using an exaggeration to make a point

If we take that scripture with no counter balance then we could possibly assume that when Jesus casts the anti-christ into hell and I rejoice... will God take him out of hell and allow him to torment the world for another 3.5 years.

    Will it be my fault????
