Yah, after watching Pete on the sidelines for 14 years is going to take some getting used to not seeing him madly chewing his gum and absent from the field. At 72, it was time for him to be removed anyways. The same was true of Bill Belichick also 72. Carroll would be coaching in 2024 if they did not fire him. These old coaches are pushing 80 in eight short years. Time for them both to pursue retirement with all the millions they've accumulated over their coaching careers. Today's NLF is faster, and the scheme approach being instilled into the play books is more invigorating. I would be shocked if a team hired either Carroll or Belichick to future head coaching jobs. Head coaches are younger and smarter than the old school, old timers anyways. Our new head coach, Mike Macdonald is now the youngest head coach in the NFL at 36. He's been labeled as a defensive guru. Mike was DC at Baltimore the last 2 years, and we know what kind of defensive program he was in charge of there. The same can be said of Ryan Grubb. As OC for the Huskies program at the University of Washington, his offense was rated #1 the last 2 years. Put 2 and 2 together, and you got the making for an elite NFL football team. We'll see what happens as these two new coaches lead the Seahawks charge in 2024. The Seattle fans around here are excited and energized going into the new 2024 NFL season.
