Going down to freezing tonight
My to-do list is to pull up any tender bulbs that remain...I started the gladiolas late this year so I've been giving them a little extra time to gather energy for next year.
Then I have to take in a couple of large geraniums in pots, cut down 2/3s of their foliage and store them in the basement until next spring...and I absolutely cannot forget to empty the bird baths! I lost one a couple of years ago when a sudden freeze cracked it.
Anyone else still have to do anything outside to prep for winter?

I don't plant anything that I can't leave outside. If I plant it, and it dies...I don't plant it again...I find something hardier to replace it. I will add mulch if it looks like it needs it.
