I knew that already before the devil told that to Jeremiah Johnson. Even the Muslims have their own false Jesus, he will return to confirm Islam according to their end times scenario.

I said, "Who would ever welcome you into their midst?" He began to laugh again... a deep belly laugh and said, "I'm currently making my way all over the West Coast. Many of the churches there love me. They also love me in the lecture halls of America in the East where they openly debate theology. And most of all, I am readily welcome on many worship teams in America. They just love for me to write the songs and lead the people in worship."

One of things he says is:

My conclusion for the church(all of us Christians): We must STOP making worship leaders and thought leaders or influencers or cool people or "relevant" people the most influential people in Christendom. (And yes that includes people like me!) I've been saying for 20 years(and seemed probably quite judgmental to some of my peers) that we are in a dangerous place when the church is looking to 20 year old worship singers as our source of truth. We now have a church culture that learns who God is from singing modern praise songs rather than from the teachings of the Word. I'm not being rude to my worship leader friends (many who would agree with me) in saying that singers and musicians are good at communicating emotion and feeling. We create a moment and a vehicle for God to speak. However, singers are not always the best people to write solid bible truth and doctrine. Sometimes we are too young, too ignorant of scripture, too unaware, or too unconcerned about the purity of scripture and the holiness of the God we are singing to. Have you ever considered the disrespect of singing songs to God that are untrue of His character?

Do you recall Steve Camp delivering his 107 Thesis to the christian recording industry calling for a reformation? This was 22 years ago. I remember the waves it caused across CCM in that day. He withdrew.

Yeah, I remember that happening. Not sure I ever read the details of what happened though.

That is different to born again believers turning the real Jesus into the 'Jesus' they want to accept which is a form of idolatry

Deception has been happening for the last 2000 years but imo it has accelerated rapidly the last decades. Modern communication as well as the spread of post modernism has seen huge increases
