Josh Harris Renounces Christ
Author Joshua Harris, after announcing the end of his marriage, is now kissing his faith goodbye
Harris, the author of the best-seller "I Kissed Dating Goodbye," a book he authored in 1997*that he later renounced after shaping purity culture for many millennial believers, revealed that he is stepping back from his faith. In an Instagram post, he also*apologized for his previously held views, including "bigotry" to the LGBTQ community.

"I want to say that I am sorry for the views that I taught in my books and as a pastor regarding sexuality. I regret standing against marriage equality, for not affirming you and your place in the church, and for any ways that my writing and speaking contributed to a culture of exclusion and bigotry," Harris wrote. "I hope you can forgive me."
That about says it all.
I saw about his divorce. And now a further fall. I assume this might have a lot to do with his divorce. That book was big at one time. I know they used it with the youth at Brownsville during the revival.

Didnt he catch flack for teaching and promo on “spiritual virgins”? I recall it was that era.

Never heard of the guy until reading the latest articles
He regrets many of the things he wrote in his best selling book which is understandable if he was too legalistic but why has it affected his faith and marriage
Obviously behind the scenes there are other factors at work

It seems to me that legalistic Christians have a tendency to abandon the faith if their legalistic thinking shatters. Legalism can be very brittle and there may not be much depth under the legalistic outer layer.

Courtship was practised at the IFB church where our dd attended K5-10. Can we say "the Duggars"? By 10th grade, they had become more legalistic than ever so we moved her elsewhere. They have had several leaders with problems of sexual misbehaviour at that church. Sadly, there were some very sincere members there in spite of the corruption.

It didn't take long for him to reveal one of the reasons for his change of attitude. It doesn't say he is now gay but he is obviously a supporter
