Are there degrees from buzzed to stoned. I don't want to start anything here, but people drink to get anywhere from "relaxed to drunk" I'm just wondering if smoking pot is similar.

How about 1/2 a puff/hit? From what I read about modern day potency it really depends.

We have "medicinal" marijuana here now. There are people running ads to sell cards.

I've said that from behind the pulpit quite a few times. You can have a glass of wine or a beer and not get drunk, but you can't smoke a joint without getting buzzed. The bible tells us to be sober and vigilant, and that no drunkard will see the kingdom. There is a whole new generation (and an older one) in the church who think it is o.k. to smoke pot because after all, God created it.

They forget that He also created poppies and mushrooms and deadly nightshade and poison ivy, etc, etc, etc.

    The devil is working overtime.

The new stuff is so much more potent than what we smoked back in the 70s. I have even heard of acid-type trips, not sure what that is from?

High doses of THC can do that.

Deception is heavy. People are being lulled asleep in church, for the few times a month they attend. I have a recently divorced woman that told me her boyfriend is moving in with her. She said that without an ounce of conviction. Then she said that she would bring him to church. Can you believe this level of blindness? She thought it would do him good to come to church...like it’s doing any good for her. Forget trying to tell her she needs to get saved, she thinks she is.

I've been prescribed a strong pain killer (narcotic) after a surgery. I didn't have a problem taking it to reduce pain.
But being an ex-pot head, I would have a problem using it for pain. As a matter of fact I wouldn't use pot for anything. Maybe because of my drug fueled past.
Where am I missing it here? I would (and have) used a prescribed pain-killer for physical pain, but would never use pot to get relief from pain.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

    You arent missing anything.

Strange how so many say getting stoned relieves pain. I found the opposite when I was a pothead. If I had an injury, ache or pain, the awareness of that was intensified, amplified.
