A cultural commentator says the younger generation of adults seem to be
awakening to the social
harms of the LGBTQ movement.
According to a recent Harris Poll (commissioned by the pro-homosexual group GLAAD), comfort with and acceptance of homosexuality and gender confusion is on the decline.
Calling it "a shift in Millennial acceptance," the poll categorizes respondents in one of three groups:
Allies (non-LGBTQ individuals who are either "very" or "somewhat" comfortable in all situations);
Detached Supporters (non-LGBTQ individuals whose comfort level varies across situations); and
Resisters (non-LGBTQ individuals who are either "very" or "somewhat" uncomfortable in all situations).
"There has been a decline in overall comfort and acceptance of LGBTQ people from respondents 18-34, with allies steadily declining among this audience
since 2016," states the poll. The numbers among "allies" indicate an overall decrease from 63% to 45% (65% to 52% among women; 62% to 35% among men) from 2016 to 2018.
Linda Harvey, founder and president of Mission: America, credits the decline to
younger adults having seen the bullying and tyrannical actions of the LGBTQ movement and no longer buying into it.
"Their demands are incessant," she says of activists in the LGBTQ community,
"and now I think people can see that ultimately [their] demand is that You all do it our way – and if you don't, we're going to silence you by whatever means we can."
Harvey urges Christians to stand their ground, without being unkind, when confronted by LGBTQ activists who employ such tactics.
"For too long, people have been allowed to be put in the pigeonhole of only talking about adult behaviors – you know, [being asked] 'Why are you worried about what two people do in their bedroom?'" she describes.
"No, you are bringing it out of your bedroom and you're bringing it into taxpayer-funded libraries and insisting on indoctrinating other people's children and at our schools," she continues. "It's everybody's business and it's wrong – and we need to just stand our ground firmly."
The Mission: America founder writes that her experience talking to public school seniors about the LGBTQ agenda has shown her that
that age group sees the hypocrisy of the movement when it comes to "tolerance"; that today's youth "hate phonies"; that "mean behavior is getting a pushback"; and that that "gender pretense movement is a bridge too far."
She states in conclusion: "... Maybe the first generation to be fully awash in homosexual indoctrination is ready to step out of the mud and take a bath in truth."
