When I was at Rhema, I saw folks wear some of any and everything to Church. It seems to me that majority white congregations are more free in what they wear to Church than majority black ones. I’m still not use to lax dressing for Church, and I don’t think I ever will get use to it.
But I’ve learned to just ignore it as best I can. But women/girls wearing shorts (above the knee) to Church is, IMHO, not respectful.
As Christians we are suppose to be growing spiritually, and some of these short-shorts are just a disgrace.
Call it straining at gnats if you like, but I consider it disrespectful.
“And that the women would also pray with clean hearts, dressed appropriately and adorned modestly and sensibly, not flaunting their wealth.” **1 Timothy *2:9 *(TPT)
I would add to that last sentence, and not flaunting their bodies.
