That's exactly what David Platt should have said when he started being questioned and then shut his mouth.

Exactly. Either that or do a thorough teaching from Scripture on the subject of praying for authority, walking in love, overcoming offense, and spiritual warfare.

I never heard of him until this incident. What's he afraid of? Losing members?

All Baptists are not Calvinists.
Platt is very controversial.
Especially after his problems with the IMB.
Calvinism is a big issue among Southern Baptists.
It is very divisive! It is very polarizing.
Many are STRONGLY opposed to Calvinism.
There are several Fb groups related to Calvinism, some argue against it as a false doctrine.

David Platt recently said some things against healing ministry also
He recently denounced faith healing as a false gospel.

Oh no, I was agreeing with you on their not being Tulip Toters. The Cessationist component varies and yes, most do not like us Charismatic/Pentecostals. But I love David Platt otherwise.

What Bible does he read I wonder?
I mean, if John 14:12-14 were the only passages of scripture related to us doing everything Jesus did, that would suffice for me.
"I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father! For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him. Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!" **John *14:12-14 *(TPT)
