Self driving cars
Just a vent as I think about this.
Self driving cars are a colossal waste of time, energy and money. Here are a couple of thoughts on this:
Why do we need to add one more element of danger on the highways of our nation?
If you don't want to drive, call an uber, take a cab, get on the bus Gus, take a train or plane Jane, use the subway or maybe even a street car.
The point is, if you don't want to drive there are already several alternative modes of transportation.
Why is a self-driving car even a thing?
STUPID & DANGEROUS!!!
There, I'm done for now.

Totally agree. I got into an 'argument' with a friend of mine over this. Totally autonomous vehicles (where you ride in the back supposedly) will never become mainstream. It's electronic/mechanical. There will always be a glitch at some point. A few people have already been killed getting hit by them because they didn't brake correctly, and that's the kind where someone was sitting in front monitoring it. Forget totally autonomous.

One of thos accidents was due to the inability to read the white paint on a semi and trailer.

They're probably already safer than many drivers out there now.
If you don't want to drive, call an uber, take a cab, get on the bus Gus, take a train or plane Jane, use the subway or maybe even a street car.
But then you have to deal with a middle man and in most cases above you have to get to point A to continue on to point B or C.
The point is, if you don't want to drive there are already several alternative modes of transportation.
But those alternative modes can be a hassle, its not like a 'direct flight' on your own timetable.
Personally I'm kind of looking forward to it when they finish fine tuning it, I like the idea of having a personal chauffeur ready at my beck and call.
...and remember this thread? No more surprise crashes!

Good question!
...and the answer is:
Google's driverless cars will honk at you if you drive badly

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

I've noticed lately that there are a lot of honkers out there doing totally stupid stuff, using their horn to say things like "hurry up" or "I'm coming through", this is not a substitute for good driving skills.
I slow down for honkers!
